Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 of may have felt a little disorganized, but it still had some great Star Trek stories. Strange New Worlds kept trying out different styles and tones in its season 3 on Paramount+. The people in the show kept shining, and the big emotional moments were worth it, even though some attempts worked better than others.

My only wish is that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds had more than ten episodes per season. The personalities are so interesting, and the actors are so good. Captain Christopher Pike played by Anson Mount is still one of the best parts of the show, but the whole cast brought their A-game for season 3, and some characters who weren’t used much before got more screen time.

I liked Strange New Worlds season 3 a lot, even though it wasn’t always great. Also, the innovation and love of all things Star Trek were very clear, which is a good sign for season 4 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Meet the Cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3:

As Captain Christopher Pike, Anson Mount is back in the lead part. Ethan Peck plays Spock, Celia Rose Gooding plays Nyota Uhura, and Rebecca Romijn plays Number One.

Patrick Oswalt and Rhys Darby also show up as guests. The whole cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 is shown below.

    Main Cast:

    • Anson Mount: “Christopher Pike”.
    • Ethan Peck: “Spock”.
    • Jess Bush: “Christine Chapel”.
    • Christina Chong: “La’An Noonien-Singh”.
    • Celia Rose Gooding: “Nyota Uhura”.
    • Melissa Navia: “Erica Ortegas”.
    • Babs Olusanmokun: “Joseph M’Benga”.
    • Rebecca Romijn: “Una Chin-Riley / Number One”.
    • Martin Quinn: “Montgomery Scott”.

    Recurring:

    • Paul Wesley: “James T. Kirk”.
    • Carol Kane: “Pelia”.
    • Cillian O’Sullivan: “Roger Korby”.
    • Melanie Scrofano: “Marie Batel”.
    • Dan Jeannotte: “George Samuel “Sam” Kirk”.

    Guests:

    • Mynor Luken as Beto

How to Stream Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3:

You’ll need a Paramount+ account to watch Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 if you live in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Latin America, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, or Japan.

In the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and parts of Central and Eastern Europe, you can watch the show on SkyStarTime.

Top-Ranked Episodes from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3:

    Episode 1: “Hegemony, Part II”

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds starts off with a bang, putting an end to the cliffhanger at the end of season 2 and (mostly) wrapping up the Gorn plot. Captain Pike and his crew come up with a smart but risky plan to fight back against the Gorn and free their prisoners. The story is tense and moves quickly. It gives everyone something to do and sets up a lot of the season’s plots well.

The young Lt. Scotty played by Martin Quinn is a great addition to the group. Commander Pelia (Carol Kane), who is also in the movie, needs to be pushed to do an engineering miracle. And Lt. Erica Ortegas, played by Melissa Navia, finally gets a big plot point when the Gorn hurt her very badly.

While “Hegemony, Part II” doesn’t always do something wrong and does have some great moments, it also doesn’t do much to stand out.

    Episode 2: “Wedding Bell Blues”

In its second episode, Strange New Worlds season 3 goes toward humor by bringing back Trelane, the cosmic trickster from Star Trek: The Original Series, who is played so well by Rhys Darby. Watch “Wedding Bell Blues” to see how Spock, Nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush), and Dr. Roger Korby (Cillian O’Sullivan) feel about each other.

Even though Korby is supposed to be Spock’s rival, he is immediately likeable, and the two of them get along great as they try to figure out what really happened with Chapel and Spock’s surprise wedding. There’s nothing new about “Wedding Bell Blues,” but Rhys Darby makes it better, which helps make it a delightfully fun distraction.

    Episode 3: “Shuttle to Kenfori”

The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 had more scary scenes than the previous seasons, which led to some of the best moments of the season. As seen in Episode 3, “Shuttle to Kenfori,” Captain Pike and Dr. Joseph M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) go to Kenfori on a secret mission and meet Klingons, zombies, and Klingon zombies.

Anson Mount and Babs Olusanmokun work well together, and Pike and M’Benga are a great pair. “Shuttle to Kenfori” is both scary and funny at the same time, giving us real laughs and a few jump scares. The episode makes a good link to “Under the Cloak of War” from season 2 and solidifies M’Benga as one of the most interesting and complicated characters on the show.

Episode 4: “A Space Adventure Hour”

Strange New Worlds episode 4 is a fun holodeck episode with great acting that never quite lives up to its full promise. The first part of “A Space Adventure Hour” is a great sci-fi scene that lovingly parodies Star Trek: The Original Series. The show then moves on to the Enterprise and a murder case in the holodeck that centers on Lt. La’an Noonien-Singh (Christina Chong).

Many people will laugh at this show, and the costumes are all beautiful. However, it seems like something is missing, but it’s not clear what. Still, Ensign Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) gives a beautiful speech about what it means to be a Star Trek fan, and everyone in the group seems to be having a great time.

Episode 5: “Through the Lens of Time”

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has a great story about halfway through that shows the crew exploring a really strange new world and finding an old evil. In this episode, Korby and Chapel are in charge of a historical dig that takes the landing party into a strange and dangerous old alien building.

It turns out that the building is a prison for an old evil called the Vezda, which Ensign Gamble learns the hard way. Because Gamble’s eyes were burned out, the result is pretty gory for Star Trek. However, episode 5, “Through the Lens of Time,” does a great job of mixing horror and real sci-fi by exploring ideas like alternate dimensions and broken causality.

Episode 6: “The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail”

You can see a different side of James T. Kirk, who will become captain of the Enterprise, in “The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail,” which stars Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk. After an explosion on a nearby world, the USS Farragut is badly damaged and its captain is hurt. Kirk takes over as captain. The Starship Enterprise quickly shows up to help, but a huge Scavenger Ship swallows it up.

Kirk is now in charge of the Farragut, which only has Spock, Uhura, Chapel, and Scotty as crew members. During a crisis, Kirk finds it hard to handle being in charge, but Spock gives him a pep talk, and he works with his team to come up with a plan to save the Enterprise. The episode shows Captain Kirk when he was younger and less sure of himself, and Paul Wesley does a great job with it.

Everything about “The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail” works, from Kirk’s problem with his leadership to the fun analog plot on the Enterprise to the sad ending where we learn that the Scavengers were human. This is a great Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode that keeps everyone busy and sets up Captain Kirk’s bright future nicely.

    Episode 7: “What Is Starfleet?”

In “What is Starfleet?,” Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has the first documentary-style episode in the series. It looks at how Starfleet works as a military organization. Beto Ortegas, played by Mynor Luken, has been recording the documentary all season. “What is Starfleet?” shows the finished product, which includes confessionals filmed very close up and rare shot angles.

This episode could have been one of the best of all time because it showed the darker sides of Starfleet and the Federation. “What is Starfleet?” pulls its punches and ends with a message that is too simple, but it still has some great character moments and tells a classic Star Trek story.

    Episode 9: “Terrarium”

After being pushed to the background for most of Strange New Worlds’ first two seasons, Lt. Erica Ortegas finally gets her own show, and Melissa Navia gives a great performance. “Terrarium” takes ideas from great Star Trek episodes like “Arena” from TOS and “The Enemy” and “Darmok” from TNG, but it’s still a good episode on its own.

Ortegas and a Gorn pilot (Warren Scherer) are stuck on a barren moon at the beginning of the story. After almost dying from an injury caused by the Gorn in the season premiere, Erica is naturally wary of her partner. However, the two slowly become friends, which helps them get saved.

The godlike Metrons, who first showed up in “Arena,” are also back in “Terrarium,” which could explain any canon differences there are about the Gorn.

Will Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Get a Season 4 Renewal?

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will have a season 4. That’s not all, though. An extra season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” has been added. This will be the last season. This show’s whole run will be shown on Paramount+.

From the start, ‘Strange New Worlds’ set out to honor what ‘Star Trek’ has always stood for: unbridled curiosity, hope, and the belief that things can get better,” said Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, and Alex Kurtzman, who are chief producers of the show.

“We’re very thankful to Paramount for giving us the chance to finish our five-season mission the way we had planned, with the help of our amazing cast and crew.” And THANK YOU to our brave fans who have come along with us on this trip. This adventure is far from over. You still have three more beautiful seasons to look forward to.
