What Can Fans Expect from The Chosen Season 5?
After Season 4’s break, The Chosen Season 5 will pick up during Holy Week, just before Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. Lazarus has been dead for four days by the end of the story. Jesus and His disciples go to Bethany to support Martha and Mary, Lazarus’ sisters. When they get to Lazarus’ tomb, Jesus brings him back to life. When the Sanhedrin heard this, the High Priest made it clear that they wanted Jesus to be killed by the Romans.
Jones told Variety that he can’t wait to work on the set of the Garden of Gethsemane, which is where Jesus is tricked and arrested. “No one has ever seen what we have planned for that scene,” he said.
The Chosen began in 2017 as a live project that was paid for by fans. A lot of people really liked the show on streaming services like Prime Video, Peacock, Netflix, and The CW. A study by independent consultant Sandy Padula found that by the end of 2022, 108 million people around the world had seen at least part of one show.
