Unveiled! James Gunn DC Studio’s Roadmap For The Future


DC Universe is entering a new direction under the leadership of James Gunn. Ever since he joined the DC, he’s been modifying various important elements in the universe and creating a big impact as well.

Yesterday, James came up front to reveal the upcoming roadmap of the DC universe that was followed by movies, TV Shows, and the rise of the DC universe.

No one saw it coming with that sudden unveiling video posted on DC and James Gunn’s official account that made the DC fans go wild.

He even talked about the DC video games and surely he’s going to be involved in that area as well.

James Gunn DC Studio Roadmap – A New Era

Three months after James Gunn and Peter Safran officially started running the newly created DC Studios within Warner Bros. Discovery, the co-chiefs have announced the first 10 film and TV titles within the rebooted DC Universe.

James Gunn with his arrival made a big announcement that shocked everyone, he announced a new superman movie will not feature Henry Cavill.

There are titles based on marquee DC heroes — including the previously announced Superman feature written by Gunn, now officially titled “Superman: Legacy,” a Batman and Robin movie, a Wonder Woman prequel series, and a Green Lantern mystery series — as well as titles featuring lesser known characters, including Booster Gold and Swamp Thing.

Highlighting Titles

Superman: Legacy

Superman Legacy is set to be released on July 11, 2025. As per Gunn, it will mark the start of DCU. “It focuses on Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing,” Safran said.

The Authority

Superman: Legacy will directly lead into “The Authority,” an ensemble movie about superhumans who have a less-than-idealistic approach to saving the world.

“It isn’t just a story of heroes and villains, and not every movie and TV show is going to be about good guy versus bad guy,” Gunn said.


James is busy in Superman: Legacy, that’s why they have held the Peacemaker Season 2 on hold instead, they have the same “team ‘Peacemaker’” will appear alongside Davis as a “continuation” of that show, Gunn said.

“They are crushing it,” Safran said of Henry and Carver’s work on “Waller.” “It’s just the greatest show ever,” Gunn added.

James Gunn created a huge impact when he directed Suicide Squad 2 and fans loved it in every way. James Gunn entered the DC studio with pure motivation and a plan.
