Invasion is back for a season 3, and the first episode has already set the tone for what looks like it will be the most ambitious run yet.
The Apple TV+ sci-fi drama has slowly gained fans thanks to its creepy atmosphere and story that takes place all over the world. Invasion Season 3 doesn’t waste any time raising the stakes.
The new season moves faster and has more action. The show’s creator, Simon Kinberg, has hinted that it will be like a “low-key Avengers season” where the main characters’ stories finally meet.
Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, and India Brown are all back as familiar faces, and Erika Alexander is now a regular on the show.
Early glimpses show that there will be a lot of shocks, from the evolved “apex aliens” to Mitsuki’s strange link to the invaders. If the first episode is any sign, fans can look forward to higher stakes, more action, and exciting character drama as the story goes on.
Kinberg has said before that she wants the show to have four seasons so that all of the human stories can be told.
Ahead of time, he told, “I always saw it as a four-season show, with an arc that starts with last season, which was a much slower-burn character season, kind of day one of the invasion. Then there’s season 2, which is much more of the invasionâyou’re now in a warâit’s a much busier season with a lot more momentum on purpose.”
“And then that war would take some twists and turns and we could follow it through to the end for another couple of seasons.”

There won’t be many big changes from season 2 to season 3 in terms of the group. The only thing that might be different is the addition of new characters. This huge sci-fi show on Apple has a huge cast, and season 3 will probably have dozens of returned and new actors. What to Expect from Invasion Season 3âs Story:
The ending of Invasion season 2 set up the story of season 3. There were a lot of cliffhangers in the end of the season 2. Many of them set up plot points that seem like they should be clear when the show comes back to AppleTV+. By the end of the season 2, Caspar had made a connection with the alien hive mind, but it looks like it had warped or taken over him. This means that when Invasion season 3 comes out, things could go wrong for Trevante because he’s counting on Caspar’s help.
But Caspar isn’t the only person in Invasion who has a special link to the hive-mind. Mitsuki found that she can corrupt portals, and even connect to the collective mind of the aliens without one. That being said, it’s possible that this killed her at the end of the season 2. The Invasion season 3 needs to solve this question. It doesn’t seem likely that Mitsuki would die after finding this power, though, since it was a big part of the story. âWhat’s on the other side of the alien portals?â is the most important question that Invasion season 3 needs to finally answer.
