School Spirits Season 3 has finally begun filming. Fans were worried at first because star Milo Manheim wasn’t there for the start of the shoot, but Paramount+ has put their minds at ease with an Instagram post confirming that he’s back on set as Wally Clark.
As of July 21, production on School Spirits season 3 started. That same day, Paramount+ also shared some early Season 3 information.
To begin, the official plot summary for the season says that Maddie “must face the dangerous mystery behind Split River High School in order to save her best friend who might be lost forever.” The best friend in question is Maddie’s best friend Simon, who was lost spiritually at the end of Season 2.
Oli Goldstick, the show’s executive producer, told TVLine after the end, “Simon has seen a world that other people have not.” “He is aware of a reality other than the one we all see every day.” Our question was: “If you spent so much time trying to save someone else and became so involved with that world, could you be sucked into it until you were trapped too?”
Here is a full list of everything we know so far about School Spirits Season 3.
Who Will Join the Cast in School Spirits Season 3?
First, the big news: Jennifer Tilly will be shaking things up at Split River High as Chucky when comes to Paramount+. And thanks to the Academy Award nominee, we have a sneak peek at Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price, the superintendent.
“Watch out, Split River High! Tilly posted a picture (above) from the show’s Vancouver set on August 4 with the words “There’s a new bitch in town.” This was the first time she was seen in character. We can tell this woman is going to be trouble because she has her arms crossed or because she looks like Tilly all the time. We can’t wait to meet her.
Tilly isn’t the only one; Ari Dalbert (Inhumans) plays Kyle and Erika Swayze (Accused) plays Livia in Season 3. Certain information about their personalities is being kept secret… for now.

What Can We Expect from School Spirits Season 3?
As we learned from seasons 1 and 2, we should always be ready for the unexpected. That’s why we know we’re in for a wild ride full of turns and twists. So, we think that School Spirits season 3 will pick up where season 2 left off and show how Simon got stuck in Mr. Martin’s scar.
If you forgot, at the end of season 2, Claire, Nicole, Xavier, and Simon brought Janet back to school in Maddie’s body so they could switch and cross over. Even though Maddie doesn’t want to go back to her body, Janet does. She wants to help Janet, Wally, Charley, and the others solve the riddle and cross over, which she can’t do in the world of the living. Later, Maddie finds out that Janet is Mr. Martin’s key. Janet gets her exit door to cross over, but she decides she still has unfinished business and traps Mr. Martin in his scar with someone else.
Even though Maddie’s body is being taken away in an ambulance, her spirit manages to cross over. She later wakes up in the hospital with her mom and Xavier, who tells her he can now see her dead dad. We find out that Simon is stuck with Mr. Martin in his scar when Janet goes to visit him at the end of the episode. Everyone else is there to celebrate… except Simon. So, is he really dead? Or did someone take his body? We’re afraid we don’t know. Also, Wally’s door opens, but we still don’t know if he’ll cross over or stay a little longer.
“This season, we wanted to make sure that we served our main story with Maddie and really make sure that arc has a destination where it lands,” Nate Trinrud said. “We’re still looking for ways to make things more complicated, ask bigger questions, and deepen the lore.” “This season really brought up a lot of new questions about our ghost world, which we can’t wait to keep exploring and sharing with everyone. But it was important that Maddie was taken care of in a way that made her happy.”
It’s still a puzzle for everyone to figure out what this future school and world are all about, he said. Things that happen that night are one of the most interesting parts. We can see it. Something starts to happen in the school after that big chase and getting Mr. Martin locked up. People who are still alive can see it outside. Something is going on. That needs to be looked into.
Goldstick said that season 3 will look into Split River High’s “legacy,” which Mr. Martin hinted at in season 2. “Something has to be broken,” he said. “Simon might be able to do it from the inside.”
