You heard it right; Donald Trump announced on Tuesday night that he’s aiming to aim to become only the second commander-in-chief ever elected to two non-consecutive terms.
He also revealed that he will surely seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. He made this big surprising announcement at Mar-a-Lago in front of the crowded gathering.
Donald Trump Running For 2024 Presidential Election
Donald Trump said, “In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”
Trump delivered a strong attractive speech where he was surrounded by allies, advisers, and conservative influencers.
He claimed the party cannot afford to nominate “a politician or conventional candidate” if it wants to win back the White House.
“This will not be my campaign, this will be our campaign altogether,” Trump said.
He further highlighted some main points, “Anyone who truly seeks to take on this rigged and corrupt system will be faced with a storm of fire that only a few could understand,” he said at one point, describing the legal and emotional toll his presidency and the post-presidential period has taken on his family members.
Back in 2020, Donald Trump was also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize Award which undoubtedly shocked the world.
