Scary, horny monsters! Selkies that do tricks! Romantic moving models of the body! Grandmas that are hot! The mantis shrimp! A teen love story that beats everything else! In 2024, Dandadan blew up the world of anime. It was one of the most unique shows of the year because it mixed sci-fi, horror, and romance comedy in a way that was only Dandadan. If Korean show Solo Leveling hadn’t been so famous, Dandadan season 2 might have won a lot of awards at the 2025 Anime Awards, as it should have.
Dandadan is based on the 2021 ShĹnen Jump manga and follows the strange and exciting experiences of two high school students, Momo (a spirit medium) and Okarun (an alien fan). You can watch it in the United States on Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll. Momo and Okarun are helped by many people, such as Momo’s grandma Seiko, her silly childhood friend Jiji, and Turbo Granny, a powerful spirit trapped inside a maneki-neko doll. It gets closer and closer between Momo and Okarun as they fight demons, aliens, and yokai. They even start to feel feelings for each other while they’re looking for Okarun’s genitalia, which Turbo Granny stole and hid. This is not a typical story about a boy meeting a girl.

The voice of Tanjiro in Demon Slayer is done by Natsuki Hanae. He has also been in Tokyo Ghoul, Food Wars, Haikyu!!, and other shows.
The character of Nezuko in the English dub of Demon Slayer is done by Abby Trott. This show has a few ties to the popular anime. In Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, she plays Shizuka Mikazuki.

Everything We Know About Dandadan Season 2:
In the last episode of Season 1, Let’s Go to the Cursed House, Momo, Okarun, and Jiji went to Jiji’s… cursed house. You gotta love how simple the names of cartoon episodes are. Momo went to the hot springs with some crazy perverts who attacked her, and Okarun and Jiji broke down a wall in Jiji’s house to find a secret room full of strange talismans. That was it. What a sneaky way to end the season! Dandadan season 2 will continue from where Season 1 left off.
At least the Cursed House and Evil Eye storylines from the mangas will be shown in Season 2. Cursed House is about an evil house, and Evil Eye is about a specific curse.
