Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says that the Mac mini will be the next Apple gadget to no longer use USB-A.
Customers of Apple products are probably used to seeing thinner USB-C ports instead of the usual, round USB-A ports. There are some good things about USB-C, but users are sometimes confused and have to scramble for ports.
On the other hand, the Mac mini hasn’t had a major update since 2010, but Gurman says that will happen this fall. The new models will have five USB-C ports, an Ethernet port, an HDMI connection, and a headphone jack. They will also have Apple’s new M4 chip. But there won’t be any USB-A ports anymore.
