Chefs, everyone needs to work together. We saw the first footage from The Bear season 4 in a new buzz reel that teased Hulu’s 2025 lineup of shows. Below is a ten-second clip in which Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) talks to Donna Berzatto (Jamie Lee Curtis) about her choice to leave the Bear at the end of season 3. She tells her, “Sometimes your family is farther away than your work family.”
There are also hints of Jeremy Allen White as Carmy, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie, Lionel Boyce as Marcus, and Matty Matheson as Neil in the new preview. The fourth season should come out sometime in 2025, but there isn’t yet an official date for it. It was said that the group shot both seasons right after each other so that fans wouldn’t have to wait too long after the shocking “To be Continued” ending. Before we get an official date from FX, here’s what we know for sure.
What Can We Expect in The Bear Season 4?
We hope that poor old Carmy will be at peace. Our unhappy chef has been through a lot in the food industry and still hasn’t fully dealt with his sadness over the death of his older brother. In the last episode of season 2, he locked himself in a fridge by accident, which almost ruined the big opening night for his restaurant. There were signs in season 3 that Carmy was starting to get his life together, but the bear season 4 is likely to test him even more before things get better.
The same goes for Sydney, Richie, Marcus, and everyone else who works at Bear. It’s not clear what the Chicago Tribune wrote about Carmy and the Bear at the end of season 3. Uncle Jimmy, played by Oliver Platt, might close the restaurant if they got bad reviews. Also, Carmy hasn’t solved his problems or fixed his friendship with Claire (Molly Gordon). Also, Sydney is about to tell Carmy that she’s leaving his broken kitchen to open her own restaurant with Adam Shapiro from Ever.
What Is the Release Date for The Bear Season 4?
Every June, The Bear comes out with a new season. In June 2022, season 1 came out, and in June 2023, season 2. Season 3 just came out on Hulu in June 2024. If seasons 3 and 4 were shot right after each other that means everything is going as planned. Still, I can’t promise that The Bear season 4 will come out in June 2025 until FX makes the official statement. This is still my wait for that Wagyu, cook.
The Bear Season 4 – Returning Cast Confirmed:
We saw our first video of The Bear Season 4 in a new trailer for Disney+’s 2025 lineup. The trailer also showed eight of the main cast members who will be in the next set of episodes.
Jeremy Allen White – Carmy Berzatto
Jeremy Allen White will definitely be back as Carmy Berzatto, the show’s main cook from Chicago. Through Season 3, he finally made his dream come true by starting the restaurant of his dreams. He turned the family diner into a high-end restaurant that is now competing for a Michelin star.
Carmy has been working on his new business for years, but in The Bear Season 4, he will have to deal with what other people think of it. At the end of last season, he looked down at his phone and saw that the first review of The Bear had been written. Fans are still wondering what it says.
Many people know White from his work on The Bear, but he has also been in Shameless and The Iron Claw. He will play Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic of the singer by Scott Cooper.
Ayo Edebiri – Sydney Adamu
Along with Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri’s Sydney Adamu will almost certainly be in The Bear Season 4. Sydney started out as a wannabe cook who looked up to White’s Carmy for a long time. Now that she’s worked with him on The Bear, she can see things more clearly.
Sydney is at a crossroads as the fourth season of the show starts. Back in the early days of The Bear, Carmy and I didn’t always agree, but now she’s been offered the chance to leave and run her own kitchen, which is likely to cause trouble in Season 4.
Edebiri is one of Hollywood’s growing stars at the moment. He won a lot of awards, including an Emmy, for his role in the hit FX show. Inside Out 2, Bottoms, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem are some of her other movies from this year.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach – Richie Jerimovich
Richie Jerimovich, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, is without a doubt one of the characters who has grown the most in The Bear so far. Carmy White, played by Jeremy Allen White, is Richie’s cousin. Carmy has worked at the family food joint for a long time, before Camry came back.
So, Carmy coming in and changing things at The Beef made Richie dislike the idea at first, but he finally came around to it and improved himself along the way.
In Season 3, Carmy and Richie were at odds with each other again. They opened The Bear, and Richie thought Carmy was too controlling.
Moss-Bachrach has been in Hollywood for a long time and has been in hit shows like Girls on HBO and The Punisher on Marvel. But next year’s Fantastic Four: First Steps will be his biggest part yet.
Liza Colón-Zayas – Tina Marrero
Every season of The Bear has been able to take a break and focus on a different character besides the stressful triangle of Carmy, Richie, and Sydney. In Season 3, Liza Colón-Zayas’s character, Tina Marrero, finally got her time to shine.
There was a whole Season 3 episode about Tina that showed how she got to work at The Beef and become involved with the Berzatto family. People have seen her as the Bear family’s peacemaker, and she’ll probably be there to keep things quiet in The Bear Season 4.

Lionel Boyce – Marcus Brooks
Marcus Brooks (played by Lionel Boyce), who is great at making sweets, is another member of The Bear’s cooking staff who has been shown in ads for the new season.
Marcus is in charge of all things sweet, but the menu at Chicago’s hottest new restaurant is always changing, which has been putting him under a lot of stress. He was very important in getting Carmy’s kitchen back together, and he will almost certainly play a role as Sydney decides if she wants to stay on the team.
Boyce has also been in Motor City, The Jellies, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Matty Matheson – Neil Fak
Matty Matheson, who plays Neil Fak, is one of the few real cooks who works at The Bear’s made-up restaurant. Matheson works in the kitchen during the day, but his Bear character is a restaurant handyman who can fix anything.
He has changed from his Mr. Fix-it days in the show, though. He and his brother Teddy were both promoted to work as Richie’s front-of-house staff at The Bear restaurant, which is important for the restaurant’s chances of getting its first star.
Matheson is a well-known restaurant owner with seven places in and around Toronto, Canada. The Bear is the only big role he has had.
Corey Hendrix – Gary “Sweeps” Woods
This is a very short clip from The Bear Season 4 that shows Gary “Sweeps” Woods, who plays the waiter at The Bear and is very quiet.
Gary used to play competitive baseball, but got hurt and had to stop. He found comfort at The Beef of Chicago land. He has changed into a young bartender and is now in charge of Carmy’s new diner.
Jamie Lee Curtis – Donna Berzatto
Donna Berzatto, played by Jamie Lee Curtis, has been on a trip over the last few seasons of The Bear. Donna has become even less steady since the death of her oldest son. Because of this, her family has grown apart from her. Her daughter Natalie even hid the fact that she was pregnant from Donna.
That might change in The Bear Season 4, though, since Donna and Natalie got along better in Season 3, which could mean that the Berzatto family is finally putting things back together after everything they’ve been through.
Curtis just won an Academy Award for her role in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, which came out in 2022. She has also been in True Lies, Knives Out, and several Halloween movies over the years.
Kicking Off The Bear Season 4:
At the end of Season 3 of The Bear, Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) responded to a bad review of the restaurant’s name in the Chicago Tribune. This was a big moment. This event was a big part of the season’s story, which was mostly about the characters struggling with being stuck in their personal and work lives.
The Bear Season 4 will move the story forward by showing how the review’s effects will show that the restaurant and its staff need to change in order to grow.
Another important character, Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), is also at a crossroads after Adam (Adam Shapiro) makes her an offer to run her own restaurant. Given that Season 3 of The Bear didn’t move many of its main plots forward, the Tribune review sets off big events that will make the next season’s story move faster?
The Bear Season 4 – What’s Coming Next?
Even though there isn’t a set date for The Bear Season 4 yet, Landgraf’s words suggest that fans can look forward to a fresh start as the show goes on from the themes of confinement explored in Season 3.
People are getting more and more excited about what will happen in the next part of The Bear because the characters are about to change and grow.
Will Carmy and Sydney end up as a Couple?
People who were looking for a love story between Carmy and Sydney in The Bear may have to be disappointed.
