An author named Erin Foster wrote the story, which is based on her own experience meeting her real-life partner. Joanne, a podcaster who mostly talks about sex and love, is played by Bell. She meets Noah, a priest played by Brody. Joanne doesn’t identify as Jewish and doesn’t believe in God. Before it was official that Nobody Wants This season 2 would be back, the show’s creator, Foster, told IndieWire, “The story in season 1 unfolds really slowly.” So, if there is a season 2, I think I would want to pick up right where we left off and keep things slow because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves. I really want my show to stay on the air for as long as possible!”
