Apple’s AI tool, Apple Intelligence, will soon be offered in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese. It will also have special English versions for India and Singapore.
In the company’s Q4 2024 results call on Thursday, CEO Tim Cook announced that support for more languages will begin in April.
Last year, Apple Intelligence’s first version only supported U.S. English. Later, in December, when the company released the iOS 18.2 update, it included support for English in Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, South African, and U.K. localizations. The company has not announced plans to launch its AI products in the EU and Mainland China.
Cook mentioned that the new version of Siri, which can understand what’s on the screen, will be released in the next few months.
