At the end of 2024, the final What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 began. The first five seasons were all big hits. What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 is a fake documentary based on the 2014 movie of the same name. It follows a group of vampires living on Staten Island with their overworked familiar. The Emmy-winning show was different from the movie because it had its own great characters and funny plots.

The fifth season of What We Do in the Shadows ended in August 2023. Season six was never in doubt because it was extended earlier that same year. What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 has been one of the best comedies on TV for a long time, thanks to its beloved characters and funny stories. Season 6 kept this trend with a sad note. The show came back for a sixth season, but it was also the last time we saw the funny vampires from What We Do in the Shadows Season 6.

What We Do In The Shadows Season 6 Guillermo stands stronger than ever:

Nandor had just thrown Patton Oswalt off a roof after persuading him to make up with his human familiar. That was the last time we saw the Staten Island vamps and Guillermo. He finally got to become a vampire, which was his lifelong dream. Nandor says he will treat him equally, but Guillermo can’t kill. He decides that being a vampire isn’t for him and goes back to being a human familiar. In season 6, Guillermo has moved out of the main house and into one of the guest houses on the site. This means that Nandor is now Guillermo’s landlord instead of his master. Now that Guillermo is no longer a familiar, he’s working at Panera Bread, which is something he’s loved doing for a long time, until he gets a “real job” in the mailroom of a corporate gig. But, as usual, Guillermo is still the voice of reason. He knows Jerry is bad, but he can’t get his vampire family to see it. They need to do it on their own.

It seems like the show has been building up to this change in the way things work the whole time. This means that Nandor has to be a little more independent, Guillermo can’t help the people around him, and Laszlo has to find something else to do when he’s not hunting or getting horny. That being said, if Matt Berry doesn’t get the Emmy he deserves for the last season of “What We Do in the Shadows,” I will s*** all the graves of those who didn’t see how great he was. No offense meant to Jeremy Allen White, who has been winning a lot of awards for “The Bear,” but Matt Berry is really the funniest actor on TV right now, and it feels wrong that no one is recognizing that. For season 6, he’s already going strong, and Laszlo’s pranks are some of the best they’ve ever been in the show. He and Colin Robinson are seeing each other a lot more than normal. Now I need someone to give the go-ahead for a new show based on “The Odd Couple” with Berry and Proksch as the leads.

Critical Reception of What We Do in the Shadows Season 6:

People were more excited about the What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 than any of the that came before it because it was supposed to be the last. At least the vampire comedy didn’t fall apart too badly. However, some review sites, like Roger Ebert’s, took away points for the season because it “overstayed its welcome.” During the 11-episode season, there were some great moments, but the end was meant to be the most successful.s

Get to Know the Cast of What We Do in the Shadows Season 6:

The cast of What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 Shadows is one reason why the show was so popular, and kept that group together. That means a lot of known faces came back, along with a lot of guest stars who made each episode more interesting. Leading the way for all five seasons was Harvey Guillén’s troubled character Guillermo, and he kept getting better all the way up to the end. It was the same with the vampires played by Natasia Demetriou, Matt Berry, Mark Proksch, and Kayvan Novak.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, a new face was revealed, and Mike O’Brien from Saturday Night Live played Jerry the Vampire. Jerry is a roommate in the house who has been sound asleep since 1976 after being left there by accident. During the last season, when he was trying to continue the vampire conquest in the 21st century, he also became close with The Guide.

What We Do in the Shadows Season 6: Official Trailer Revealed:

FX posted a full trailer for What We Do in the Shadows a few weeks before the start of season 6, and it shows a lot of silly vampire stuff. When Guillermo leaves the house, the other people in the group remember that they left their roommate Jerry sound asleep by accident. Jerry wakes up and gets the gang back to work. They then go on their dark journey to take over “The New World” together. Nandor tries to make a man-made monster (not like Frankenstein), and Nadja goes into business. Nandor is also hypnotized into believing that Richard Nixon is real.

What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 Ending Explained & Spoilers:

There was never going to be a sad ending to What We Do in the Shadows, but the mockumentary’s ending was touching in its own way. The show successfully concluded Guillermo and Nandor’s story, which was the real emotional center of it. It also found time for some lighthearted humor that didn’t hide the fact that the vampires were beyond redemption. There were hints that the characters might come back, but it’s not really a question of whether or not the end will be conclusive.
