At first, some things are hard to understand, but you should keep going with them. After Peaky Blinders became a huge hit in Britain, director Steven Knight asked his friend Tom Hardy to act in another great show called Taboo. A great group of actors, such as Jessie Buckley, Oona Chaplin, Mark Gatiss, and Stephen Graham, were with Hardy. But when the BBC showed the show in 2017, it did well, but it never quite hit the heights of Peaky Blinders’ Shelby boys. Even so, Taboo Season 2 was renewed, and it has become even more famous over the years as critics have reevaluated it. But there was never a follow-up.
Taboo season 2 is a historical thriller with family secrets and supernatural elements. It takes place in London in the early 1800s and is about colonial power, revenge, and finding your own identity. The series shows the struggles of a man who is reborn into a society that is full of corruption and moral ambiguity. It does this through moody writing and top-notch acting. Now, eight years after the first season, Hardy has announced that there will be a Taboo season 2. We think it deserves the honor a lot. Even though ten years have passed, it should be better than ever.
When Will Taboo Season 2 Be Released in Australia and Worldwide?
At this point, neither BBC nor FX (nor any other reliable source) can say when Taboo Season 2will come out. We could possibly expect it to happen between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027, assuming this isn’t a false alarm and production does start within the year.
Who’s in the cast of Taboo Season 2?
No one else will be in Taboo season 2 after Tom Hardy’s role as James Delaney or any other Delaney ancestor. The story of the season 2 is also a mystery, so we don’t know who else will be in the show.

What Storylines Might Unfold in Taboo Season 2?
Of course, the question of “where it goes next” will be very interesting.
The first season of Taboo took place in 1814, near the end of Great Britain’s war with the new United States. It followed the adventures of James Keziah Delaney (Hardy), a former soldier, explorer, and businessman.
After twelve years in Africa after his father Horace’s death (Edward Fox), Delaney comes back to England, “back from the dead.” He is older and wiser. Soon after he gets there, he receives his father’s shipping empire, along with Nookta Sound, a strategically placed piece of land that both the East India Company and the Crown are apparently willing to kill for.
But after the shocking ending, the second book, like the first, gives writers a lot of room to explore different storylines.
“The Taboo Season 2is really, really important to me, and it’s taken a lot of thought,” Tom Hardy told Esquire in 2021. “I really enjoyed the first one, and I want to be really fulfilled by the second one.”
