Fans of the sci-fi show Silo Season 3 on Apple TV Plus are in for a treat: The season 3 of the future drama starring Rebecca Ferguson is now fully filmed. This means that we should not have to wait too long for new episodes to be available on Apple’s streaming service.
So what does the end of production mean for when the new season will come out?
The streaming service gave the go-ahead for a Silo season 3 and a 4 one as well, in a deal that was first revealed in December 2024. We also learned that season 4 would be the last one for the show.
Silo is based on the Wool series of books by Hugh Howey. The books are set in a dystopian future where the building in the title protects the last 10,000 people on Earth from the dangerous and poisonous world outside.
Seasons 3 and 4 will be filmed almost right after each other. Apple recently revealed that filming for season 3 was over. In a May 2025 social media post, the company shared a picture of series star Rebecca Ferguson (who plays engineer-turned-sheriff Juliette Nichols) on set with the words “That’s a wrap on season 3.”
After three months of post-production work on season 3, filming for season 4 is set to begin.
“We’ll be filming all of 2025 and into early 2026,” director Graham Yost told Empire.
“Toward the end of Season 3, we’ll present a big place that will play a very important role in Season 4. We film all 10 episodes of each season at the same time, so we had to write season 3 and then start writing season 4 right away.
It’s likely that Apple TV Plus will remove the season 3 shows while they work on post-production for season 4. This means that we may see Juliette Nichols and the other people who live in Silo again in late 2025 or early 2026.
At this point, we think that Silo season 3 will come out in November 2025, right after Slow Horses season 5 ends. This is similar to how Silo season 2 and Slow Horses season 4 came out last year. Yet, Apple has not yet announced a date for when Silo season 3 will be available.
“It has been a richly rewarding experience to adapt Hugh’s epic novels with our partners at Apple, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this complete story to the screen over the course of 4 seasons,” Yost said in a company statement.
“With the last two chapters of Silo, we can’t wait to give fans of the show a very satisfying ending to the many mysteries and unanswered questions that are locked inside these silos.
If you haven’t seen Silo yet, now is the perfect time because the first two seasons are now available to watch on Apple TV Plus.
Tom’s Guide will keep you up to date on everything Silo while we wait for the last two parts of the hit sci-fi show.
