The first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians was full of exciting events for Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries), and Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri). But their adventures are just getting started. Not only has Disney+ picked up Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, but also for a third one. This news came months before Season 2 came out. And the cast is growing. Daniel Diemer from “The Half of It” will play a key part in the movie.
Later in 2025, Season 2 will start. It will be based on The Sea of Monsters, Rick Riordan’s second book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. “I can’t wait for Disney+ to get the next season of Percy Jackson! Lift the bolts. Raise the main sail. “Demigods, all hands on deck,” the author said in a write-up. It was also announced by the network that Scobell, Chase, and Underwood will be back in their roles, and Rick and his wife Becky Riordan will continue to be EPs.
Jack Sparrow and the Olympians We were all waiting for the treachery at the end of Season 1. Luke Castellan, played by Charlie Bushnell, tells Percy at the end of the show that he has been the lightning thief the whole time. Luke says that Kronos understood the truth and now thinks that the gods are against him. Percy doesn’t want to join his side, which is bad for him, and the two old friends start fighting. Annabeth, who had heard the whole talk, steps in just as Luke, the son of Hermes, is about to stab Percy. Luke gets away.
We won’t see Percy and the other gods for a while. But TV Guide will keep an eye on all the news about Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2.
When will Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 be released?
Disney+ said on March 14 that the show has been picked up for a third season. They also said that Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 would start airing in December. There is still no official date for the launch.

As the Gray Sisters, they will “run a taxi service (also known as the Chariot of Damnation) and share one eye and one tooth between them.” Schwartz will play Anger, Cho will play Wasp, and Bernard will play Anger.
A magazine called Variety said in November 2024 that Courtney B. Vance would play Zeus, the king of Olympus. Vance said in a post, “I know that stepping into this role of Zeus will be a memorable experience and I’ll be giving my brother, Lance Reddick, who left us way too soon, a heavenly hug.”
Reddick died in March 2023, before the show started on Disney+. He played Zeus in the first season. “With Lance, we just got a text from his wife saying how proud she would have been to see it,” executive producer Dan Shotz said at the 2024 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour in February.
The group also talked about how they would like to play famous characters from the books at the press tour. “We talk about this all the time,” said Scobell. “We call [Jonathan and Dan] sometimes and tell them.” The star said he saw The Hunger Games not long ago. “I thought Sam Claflin would be a cool Apollo,” he said. Also, Simhadri and Scobell both said they are “huge fans of God of War” and would love for Christopher Judge to play Atlas.

Key Details About Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2:
When Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 was picked up, Riordan posted a report on Threads about how the show was coming along. “The scripts we have so far are in great shape,” Riordan said.
When asked what they would do to adapt the second book, co-creator and executive director Jonathan E. Steinberg said they would stick to the same plan. “The goal is to take the book and find its soul,” Steinberg said in February 2024 at the Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour.
