Following their breakup two years ago, Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa are ending their marriage.
Bonet went to Los Angeles County court on Monday to end her marriage to Momoa, whom she hasn’t seen in a while. The “Cosby Show” actress said that the couple’s divorce was due to “irreconcilable differences,” and she named October 7, 2020, as the date they would no longer be together.
USA TODAY has asked spokespeople for Bonet and Momoa to let us know what they think.
When she filed for divorce, Bonet asked that she and the “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” star share legal and physical care of their children. They have a 16-year-old daughter named Lola and a 15-year-old son named Nakoa-Wolf.
The court has also been asked by Bonet not to give spousal support to either herself or Momoa. In an agreement between Bonet and Momoa, they agreed on how to divide their joint assets and land.
Momoa and Bonet said they were “parting ways in marriage” in a joint post on Momoa’s Instagram page in January 2022.
The couple, who began dating in 2005 and got married in October 2017, said, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformative times.” “A revolution is unfolding ~ and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.”
The two actors also said that they were splitting up “not because we think it’s newsworthy,” but so that “as we go about our lives, we may do so with dignity and honesty.”
The couple said, “The love between us continues to grow in ways it wants to be known and lived.” “We free each other ~ to be who we are learning to become…”
Bonet also has a daughter with her ex-husband, singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz. Her name is Zoë Kravitz and she is 35 years old.
