Zoe Saldana led Emilia Perez to major wins at the Golden Globes 2025 on Sunday night, while Demi Moore claimed her first-ever award at the age of 62. Other standout winners included Shōgun and The Brutalist.
The 46-year-old actress won Best Supporting Actress – Musical or Comedy early in the evening, followed by Netflix’s Emilia Perez securing the top honor for Best Film – Musical or Comedy. The glamorous event, held on January 5 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, featured a star-studded red carpet.
Demi Moore delivered a moving acceptance speech as she received Best Actress – Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance.
In the drama film categories, The Brutalist took home Best Film – Drama. Adrien Brody, emotional during his acceptance speech, won Best Actor – Drama. He addressed the earlier mention of a tragedy involving Aubrey Plaza’s husband, Jeff Baena.
On the television side, Shōgun swept the drama awards, winning Best TV Series as well as individual honors for Anna Sawai, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Tadanobu Asano.
One of the night’s biggest surprises was Brazilian actress Fernanda Torres winning Best Actress – Drama for I’m Still Here, beating A-list contenders Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and Pamela Anderson.
