The first season of the Netflix original show FUBAR lived up to its promise of classic Arnold Schwarzenegger action, and news about FUBAR season 2 is already coming in thick and fast. The author of Scorpion, Nick Santora, also made FUBAR. It’s about a CIA agent who is about to retire and has to work with his daughter, who is also a secret agent, to catch an international criminal. Along with its great cast and lots of action, FUBAR season 1’s biggest claim to fame was that action star Arnold Schwarzenegger got his first major TV part. The funny action comedy set itself up nicely for season 2 even without Schwarzenegger.
In contrast to many other streaming shows that play it safe and end the story neatly at the end of the first season, FUBAR made it clear that the story goes on after season 1. With an idea as vague as FUBAR’s, there are a lot of options for future seasons. The show could even become a real action series. The former governor of California also shows up in the movie to let fans know that filming has begun.

Arnold Schwarzenegger made the news at Netflix’s Tudum fan event that there will be a season 2. The show was the most-watched show on Netflix for two weeks, making it one of the biggest hits the service has had in 2023. Schwarzenegger got a great job at Netflix earlier in 2023 as the company’s Chief Action Officer, which was another good sign for FUBAR season 2. Even though the part is just for show, it shows that the famous action star has joined Netflix, which suggests that they have big plans to work with him.
The Cast of FUBAR Season 2:
Schwarzenegger’s success can be explained by the fact that he was able to play a funny action hero in FUBAR. This is exactly what season 2 of FUBAR would need to have any chance of succeeding. Gabriel Luna as Boro might not be coming back since he seemed to die at the end of season 1, but he could come back out of the blue in FUBAR season 2, as bad guys often do in action films and TV shows. Carrie-Anne Moss has been cast in a new part for FUBAR season 2, but no one knows what it is yet.
Storyline Highlights of FUBAR Season 2:
Most action shows focus on the main plot, but FUBAR season 1 had a lot of difficult interpersonal drama that wasn’t really settled by the end of eight episodes. The ending showed that the Brunner’s secret had been discovered, and they were now the target of dangerous forces that wanted to kill them. This is expected to be the main plot of FUBAR season 2. The season 1 ending did, however, leave at least two love triangles that need to be resolved. Season 2 will also have to deal with these issues.
Ever since Emma kissed Aldon, her relationship with Carter has been on the rocks, and Luke still wants to win Tally back from Donnie, even after Boro and his men crashed their wedding. Bad guys and big action scenes won’t be what make FUBAR season 2’s story truly powerful. Instead, Emma and Luke’s relationships will be what make the story powerful. It’s clear that their time as secret spies had a big impact on their families’ lives. Season 2 of FUBAR will give the Brunners a chance to make up for mistakes they made in the first season.
