    Perry was best known for playing Chandler Bing in the popular sitcom Friends. He passed away on October 28 at 54 years of age. During a hot tub session, the actor was discovered unconscious. The first responders could not revive Perry after he was found unconscious.

    In an interview last year, Perry expressed his desire to be remembered after he passed away. Aside from his role in the popular sitcom, the actor said he wished to be known for something else.

    “I would like to be remembered as someone who loved well, lived well, and sought The most important thing to him is helping people. In the Q with Tom Power podcast in 2022, he said, “That’s what I want.”

    Throughout the height of his fame, Matthew Perry battled opiate and alcohol addiction, and he often attended rehab clinics. In his biography, ‘Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Things, ‘he chronicled his horrific experience.

    Matthew Perry was a great guy. He wanted to be remembered for the things he did to help other people not for his work on TV.

    The most important thing, now that is no longer with us, is to honor his legacy by using his death as a teaching moment to help others.

    Even at the height of his career, Mr. Perry battled alcohol and painkiller addiction for years, frequently visiting rehab centers. In his autobiography “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Things,” he described his terrifying journey in detail.

    “There is nothing I love more than helping people who come to me and say, ‘I can’t stop drinking. Can you help me?’ “ he continued. “Yes, “I can respond, and I can follow through. I don’t want friends to be brought up first when I pass away. That should be the first thing brought up. And I will spend the remainder of my life demonstrating that.”
