A documentary about Radcliffe’s life will be created by David Holmes, his longtime stunt double in the Harry potter films.
As part of the Harry Potter film franchise, Holmes was brought on before Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and over the next decade, he and Radcliffe forged an “inextricable bond.” However, a tragic accident on set left Holmes paralyzed in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
“Daniel and his closest stunt colleagues rally to support David and his family in their hour of need, but it is David’s extraordinary spirit of resilience that becomes their greatest source of strength and inspiration.” Warner Bros. Dan Hartley directed the documentary, discovery said in the statement.
This is Radcliffe and Holmes’ latest collaboration following their work together on “Harry Potter” movies and “lad: A Yorkshire Story.” Dan Hartley directed “David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived.” In 2020, the two launched the “Cunning Stunts” podcast, which shined a spotlight on Hollywood stunt performers during the pandemic.

In association with Sky and Lightbox / Ripple, HBO Documentary Films produced the film. There are four producers of the project: Simon Chinn, Jonathan Chinn, Vanessa Davies, and Amy Stares.
Among Radcliffe’s executive producers are Holmes, Hartley, Sue Latimer, and Sarah Spahovic. Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller, and Tina Nguyen are HBO’s executive producers. Poppy Dixon is Sky’s executive producer.
