Want to know when Upload Season 4 will be available on Prime Video? We can be your Angel and help you! The fourth and final episode of Robbie Amell and Andy Allo’s sci-fi comedy about the afterlife in a world of AI and VR is almost here.
Upload season 3 started on October 20, 2023, with a two-episode launch. After that, shows came out every week until November 10, 2023. There was a big cliffhanger at the end of Episode 8 called “Flesh and Blood.” One of the two Nathans is dead? That’s why fans are so eager to find out which Nathan is still alive and what will happen next. Also, about three months after the start of season 3, it was stated that Upload would be back for a fourth season, which would be its last.
The show’s creator and director, Greg Daniels, told fans in the renewal news that they could look forward to a happy ending because he had planned for the story to end in four seasons, which they can do. That means our favorite characters will get the right resolution and finish they deserve, so we don’t mind going back to see them again in their afterlife!
What’s New in Upload Season 4?
Most of 2024 has been quiet, but the most recent news reveals that a new cast member has joined Upload’s fourth and final season. According to Deadline, Lee Majdoub, who played Sonic the Hedgehog 2’s lead, has been cast to play an unknown character in the next season. He will return for the final season, though. It’s not clear if more new characters will be added, but the show’s finale is likely to have a bigger cast.
What’s the Expected Release Date for Upload Season 4?
Work on Upload season 4 is set to begin in August 2024 and end a little more than a month later in September 2024. From this point of view, Upload season 4 might come out around the same time as seasons 1 and 2, in the first half of 2025.
Upload Season 3 Recap – What’s the Story So Far?
The shocking ending to Upload season 3 was heartbreaking. Nate logged into a clone body that Ingrid had been growing and keeping safe at the end of season 2. Then, in season 3, Nathan and Nora look into the shady business deals of Freeyond and Horizen, the company that owns Lakeview, the virtual reality where people like Nathan can “upload” their mind and live a happy afterlife. At first, it looks like Nathan’s download might not have gone through, but in the end, everything works out fine.
At the same time, Tinsley, Aleesha’s temporary worker, restored a copy of Nathan. This is now the Nathan who lives in Lakeview and loves Ingrid. Ingrid’s evidence helped them win the case against Horizen, and Nathan, who works for her, even asks her to marry him, and she says yes! At the end of season 3, both the real Nathan and the backup Nathan are in the Grey Market trying to find out who Horizen is. In the real world, Nora and Ingrid and the rest of Nathan’s family are waiting for a call from their parents.

When they answer the phone, Nathan tells them that one of them has been killed. However, the episode ends before it is clear which Nathan has been killed—is Nora’s Nathan the real Nathan? Or is Nathan from Ingrid’s time back from a backup, without any of the moral changes that Nathan went through?
What Surprises Await in Upload Season 4?
Of course, Upload season 4 will answer the clear question of where Nathan lives, but it will also focus on giving all of the character arcs satisfying ends. Some people think that Nathan and Nora will have a happy ending, even though Nathan’s life seems to upset the natural order of things. Having two Nathans would be great because then both Nora and Ingrid could have happy ends. This is especially true for Ingrid, whose dependence on Nathan is not healthy.
Another thing that would be great is for Luke and Aleesha’s relationship to end, after they work together with Tinsley and the AI guy to get secrets from Karina. Another interesting development that could be talked about in Upload season 4 is AI learning to show emotions and feelings. Finally, we need to talk about the political effects of what Horizen (now called Betta) is trying to do by boosting uploads in swing states to sway votes in elections. We also need to talk about the rights of Uploads, like their ability to have a job.
There are some things that happen in Upload world that are very similar to things that happen in our world now or will happen soon. AI and VR are already being used to change people’s minds, so it will be interesting to see how Upload handles this issue in its last season.
What Will Be the Total Number of Episodes in Upload Season 4?
So far, none of the news about the last season have talked about how long the season will be or how many shows it will have. Each season used to have a different number of episodes. Season 1 had 10 shows, Season 2 had 7, and Season 3 had 8. Taking all of this into account, Upload season 4 could have anywhere from 8 to 10 episodes if they want to give fans the right ending they deserve.
The Cast of Upload Season 4:
Even though there have been no new hiring news, we know that all of our favorite characters will be back for Upload season 4. Among them are Robbie Amell and Andy Allo, who play the lead roles, as well as Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Bigley, Owen Daniels, Mackenzie Cardwell, Andrea Rosen, Barclay Hope, and William B. Davis.
Upload Season 4 Is the Series Finale:
For fans of the show, the news that Upload will end after season 4 may be disappointing. That’s not good news, but at least it means the show will have a proper finish in the end. In a statement about the fourth season, the show’s author, Greg Daniels, said, “When I first thought of Upload many years ago, I had the story arc planned out over four seasons. I am thrilled to give fans the ending they deserve and the characters and creative team have been working towards.” The show is ending, but it will do so on its own terms.
