The show’s short but sweet fourth season ended on June 30, 2024. Fans were shocked to hear that Tanjiro and the rest of the gang would be back in a series of films based on the Infinity Castle Arc instead of a standard Demon Slayer season 5.
It’s not a big surprise that Koyoharu Gotouge’s book will likely be turned into a full anime series by the time the show ends.
What is the Release Date for Demon Slayer season 5?
Demon Slayer’s fourth season ended on June 30, and soon after, it was announced that the show would be back in a trilogy of films instead of a Demon Slayer season 5.
The news came in the form of a short teaser video that showed characters that will be returning and then went through the twisting halls of Muzan Kibutsuji’s Infinity Castle.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get any information about when or even when possible when any of the pictures might come out.
The Cast of Demon Slayer Season 5:
Even though there have been no big cast releases, it seems likely that the whole cast will be back for the future Demon Slayer films in different roles. Those things are:

What Will Unfold in Demon Slayer Season 5 Movies?
The news about Demon Slayer season 5 revealed that the show will jump right into the Infinity Castle Arc of the book in three new films.
The Infinity Castle story is the second-to-last part of the Demon Slayer saga. It makes up the first half (about 47 manga episodes) of the huge “Final Battle Arc.” The last 22 episodes of the manga are the Sunrise Countdown Arc, which comes after the Infinity Castle Arc and wraps up the story.
Fans have been looking forward to the version of the Infinity Castle Arc, which looks like it will have a lot more action than the Hashira Training scenes in season four.
To protect anime fans who have only seen the show, we won’t give away any major plot points. But please be aware that the next part of Tanjiro’s trip is filled with some very dramatic battles and loses.
We can see why Ufotable wouldn’t try to fit the whole Final Battle into one season of the show. It’s the manga’s biggest story arc by a long shot.
In case you didn’t know, Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer comic is now complete. The last story came out in April 2020.
