Television show Heavenly Delusion (Tengoku Daimakyou) is in a weird spot where it is both strange and magical at the same time.
Masakazu Ishiguro’s comic, which is now an anime, is so interesting because of this strange mix.
Will there be a Heavenly Delusion season 2, though? Here is everything you need to know about the Heavenly Delusion Season 2.
Release Date for Heavenly Delusion Season 2:
At this point, there is still no word on a Heavenly Delusion season 2 (also known as Tengoku Daimakyou). There has been no official word on whether this cute and slightly crazy cartoon will be back for a Heavenly Delusion season 2, but that doesn’t mean it won’t.
It might come down to how well it does on Disney+, so tell everyone you know about this strange and wonderful world.
Even so, in the middle of 2023, we got some bad news: the DVD release of the first season of Heavenly Delusion only sold a few hundred copies. Japan’s home entertainment market is still pretty big, in case you didn’t know. A lot of cartoons are judged by how many DVD and Blu-ray copies they sell.
The Cast of Heavenly Delusion Season 2:
Why is Heavenly Delusion even there without Kiruko and Maru, the cute but annoying couple?
Since they are still determined to find Heaven, we expect speech artists Sayaka Senbongi (dubbed in English by Anjali Kunapaneni) and Gen Satô (dubbed in English by Jonathan Leon) to play the same parts in a Heavenly Delusion season 2.
“Everyone has never been in Heaven at the same time, not even for a second, and I don’t think they ever will be.” However, that also means that people will always be looking for Heaven, as author Masakazu Ishiguro said in an interview with Anime Corner.
Fans can also expect the following to come back:
• Kona – Toshiyuki Toyonaga (JP) / AJ Beckles (EN)
• Mimihime – Misato Fukuen (JP) / Tia Ballard (EN)
• Shiro – Shunsuke Takeuchi (JP) / Hao Feng (EN)
• Taka – Yuuki Shin (JP) / John Choi (EN)
• Anzu – Misato Matsuoka (JP) / Courtney Lin (EN)
• Dr Sawatari – Tadashi Mutou (JP) / Nick Martineau (EN)
• Aoshima – Atsumi Tanezaki (JP) / Jennifer Sun Bell (EN)
Both Tokio and the Director are in danger because Tokio showed signs of being a Hiroku while she was protecting her baby.
The Director might have died in the attack, but Tokio probably didn’t. This Hiroku change may be lasting, but we won’t know for sure until Heavenly Delusion season 2 (more on that below).
It makes me wonder, though, if Hibiku Yamamura (dubbed in English by Brittany Lauda) and Masako Isobe (dubbed in English by Anzu Lawson) will be back as Tokio and the Director, respectively.
Since Robin has a lot of things to answer for, we’d like to see Kazuya Nakai (voiced in English by Eric Vale), who plays Robin, come back, even though he’s terrible.
Plot Details for Heavenly Delusion Season 2:
There were a lot of loose ends in the end of season one. For example, did Tokio start eating men, and was the baby she was holding her own real child or a genetic copy?
Before he gave the baby back to its mother, Dr. Sawatari didn’t exactly give us the impression that he was sure of which baby was which.
We now know that what happens at the Takahara Academy happened in the past. This means that Maru could be the son of Tokio and Kono, which would explain why he has Hiroku powers.

Also, we need another season to make sense of that scene after the credits.
Who got away from Takahara Academy? Is it really an escape if you thought you had to leave for a test? Let’s move on. The students who went missing—Mimihime, Taka, Shiro, and Anzu—can be seen on a boat going to a place that doesn’t look like it’s after the end of the world. There are beautiful buildings and a city that is bathed in bright light, which proves that these events happened in the past.
One of our main ideas is that these kids are the man-eaters that live in the present day of the story and that their presence is what destroys the world.
This idea doesn’t seem too far-fetched, especially when put together with another popular fan theory: that Dr. Usami might be Shiro and Mimihime was his lover.
In her dreams, Mimihime saw needles with tubes connected to machines being inserted into her body. In present day, Dr. Usami said that his lover’s arms and other body parts had been cut off, and she was hooked up to machines to keep her from turning into a man-eater.
Do you see why we need a Heavenly Delusion season 2 so badly? Also, we need to put an end to the whole Robin Inazaki thing.
Unfortunately, the beating Maru gave Robin to protect Kiruko from more sexual abuse didn’t really get Robin’s attention for what he did, so we think he will get what’s coming to him in Heavenly Delusion season 2.
Fans of this anime show will also want to know why he secretly joined a braindead, lifeless woman to a man-eater that looked especially scary, and what he planned to do with this monster.
It’s no surprise that Robin’s rape of Kiruko had a huge effect on her mind. It made her feel worse and made her question her already broken sense of who she was. Is she Haruki’s sister Kiruko’s brain? Is that Kiruko? Or is she becoming a mix of the two in some way?
Getting to know this conflicting part of herself will almost certainly be a big part of season two’s story.
Aside from that, we should see more detailed drawings in season two, even though we thought the animation was stunning.
Masakazu Ishiguro, on the other hand, thought that the scenery and figure designs could have been more “diverse.”
“I feel bad that I didn’t make the character designs more varied, and I think I could have drawn them more clearly in some places.” I’d also like to fill in the borders with more lines. He told Anime Corner, “I’d even like to draw everything from the start all over again.”
