We have a lot of Dungeons and Dragons stuff for you if you like Critters. For the best DnD build, we can help you choose the right classes and races.
What We Know About The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 So Far:
Death is a part of Dungeons & Dragons. I don’t play D&D, but I’ve heard that the goal of a good dungeon master is never to kill their players. Matt Mercer is said to be a particularly good dungeon master, but in the Vox Machina game, characters do unfortunately die. Some of our favourite freaks are going to die before The Legend of Vox Machina is over. I won’t say which ones right now, and if anyone does in the comments, they will be deleted right away.
That means those deaths might not happen this season! But this year, the people who put on the show have a lot of other ways to make us feel bad.
Travis Willingham, who voices Grog and is an executive producer, told EW that “Vox Machina season 3 is going to leave a mark” and that it will “test relationships, both familial and romantic; but it’s also going to start to show the lines of division in this close-knit family that is really starting to feel the pressure of the world and things even beyond the realm of Exandria.” The interview also includes some stunning new images that have never been seen before.
Release Date for The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 Announced:
The first three episodes of The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 will be available on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, October 3, 2024. This was confirmed by Critical Role. Like the first two seasons of Vox Machina, season three has 12 episodes. They will be released every week starting October 3 in groups of three. To make things easier, here is the planned show schedule:
Date | Episodes released |
Thursday, October 3 | 1-3 |
Thursday, October 10 | 4-6 |
Thursday, October 17 | 7-9 |
Thursday, October 24 | 10-12 |
An 80-second teaser clip released on Friday, June 7, revealed the official release date for Season 3.
Travis Willingham, CEO of Critical Role Production, had said on Twitter that the season would come out “this autumn” and that fans could look forward to it being “so good.”
We were sure we would go back to Exandria in January 2024 all through last year. The first season started airing at the end of January 2022 and ended in early February. In the same way, season 2 of Vox Machina began on January 20, 2023, and finished in early February of that year.
It made sense that Vox Machina season 3 would come out at the same time, but it looks like this season took more than a year to finish. That makes us even more excited for October 3 and what our favourite explorers have planned for us.

What to Expect? The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 Trailer and Plot:
Today, 29: A new video of Legend of Vox Machinaseason 3 came out.
The whole group is eventually shown to us, and we learn that they have a new destination in mind: hell. The video for the new season shows Keyleth and Vax’s long-awaited first kiss, which makes me think of love.
But Vox Machina season 3 will also have sad parts. People who played the first board game know what’s coming, but everyone else will have to wait until October to find out how Vox Machina wants to hurt them. In the video, we see a grave, Vex crying out in pain, and the team getting some hope. Even the very first line of the clip says, “The future is scary.”
Austin Willingham, who plays Travis Willingham, told Entertainment Weekly that this season will test and change the main characters. Willingham also hints in the same interview that little-known characters from Vox Machina will get a little more screen time. We can also expect more dangers outside of the Chroma Conclave, including both new and old bad guys who will put pressure on the adventurers.
It looks like things have never been more important.
Prime Video had already put out a “first look” video for Legend of Vox Machina season 3 on July 27:
This lively scene is missing two main cast members, which seems odd. This sneak peek doesn’t tell us much more about the season, though. We only have the video’s summary to go on:
“Our beloved group of misfits, along with Gilmore, face off against a group of guards in the city of Ank’Harel. They can either fight or run away.” When Season Three of The Legend of Vox Machina finally comes out, everything is on the line. A line of damage made by the Chroma Conclave spreads like wildfire, and the Cinder King is on the hunt for Vox Machina. They have to get past their inner and outer problems to save their loved ones, Tal’Dorei, and the whole world of Exandria.
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 Cast Revealed:
For Vox Machina season 3, the main group stays the same:
- Ashley Johnson: Pike the Gnome Cleric
- Laura Bailey: Vex’ahlia the Half-elf Ranger / Rogue
- Liam O’Brien: Vax’ildan the Half-elf Rogue / Paladin
- Marisha Ray: Keyleth the Half-elf Druid
- Sam Riegel: Scanlan the Gnome Bard
- Taliesin Jaffe: Percy the Human Gunslinger
- Travis Willingham: Grog the Goliath Barbarian / Fighter
Also, Matthew Mercer, who voices Critical Role Dungeon Master, will probably keep doing a lot of other voices. Many other well-known voice artists have been in Vox Machina so far, but no one has been mentioned for season 3 yet.
Even so, we can guess about voice artists who might be coming back. We think we’ll see more of Keeper Yennen (voiced by Gina Torres) after how season 2 finished. Thordak also seems to have a part in the next season, but Lance Reddick, who voiced him, died in early 2023.

Will Vox Machina Return for Season 4?
Season 4 of Vox Machina hasn’t been announced yet. From the original Critical Role game, there’s still a lot to cover, including a new bad guy to fight after the Chroma Conclave. This means that if a fourth season happens, Vox Machina will have a lot of room to grow.
But there will be another Critical Role TV show. It’s called The Mighty Nein, and it’s an animation show about the second Critical Role game. After the third season of Vox Machina is over, this could become more important.
Here’s the latest news about when D&D games will come out while you wait to hear more about Vox Machina. As soon as new D&D books come out, we buy them. This includes the long-awaited One D&D rulebooks.
