Alice in Borderland season 3 is coming out on Netflix, and I’m not sure if I want to see it again after the beautiful finish of season 2. Alice in Borderland on Netflix is based on the manga by Haro Aso with the same name. The book was turned into a mini-anime before it was turned into a live-action series. It’s possible that the Alice in Borderland show is more famous than the book. The series has become a worldwide hit. So, it didn’t really surprise me that Alice in Borderland was picked up for a third season, even though season 2 seemed like the end of the show for good.
The first two seasons of Alice in Borderland were very close to the book, but some important changes were made to the original. For instance, Chishiya’s attitude in the Netflix show Alice in Borderland is not the same as in the book. But at the end of season 2, the show and the comics became most different from each other. The comics for Alice in Borderland had a clear finish, but the end of season 2 of Alice in Borderland hinted that the story could go on thanks to the Joker card. It’s likely that Alice in Borderland season 3 will look into what the Joker card means.
Why Alice in Borderland Season 3 Wasn’t Necessary?
Besides the Joker card, the last episode of Alice in Borderland’s second season felt like the end of the whole show. The people who made it out alive woke up in the real world. The true nature of the Borderland was finally revealed, and everyone who came back was a better person. I cared about all of Alice in Borderland’s characters and can’t wait to see them again, but season 3 didn’t need to happen. Alice in Borderland is the kind of show that has a lot of riddle boxes, but the end of season 2 explained all of them.
Arisu had grown as a person. He had gone from wandering around the world without a purpose to someone who values his life. In the same way, Usagi thought about staying in the Borderland because she had been through a lot in the real world. Even Chishiya was changed after what he went through in the Borderland and especially after beating the King of Clubs. The second season of Alice in Borderland raised the stakes and finished on a high note, which makes it hard for the third season to top it.
The first season was about learning the Borderland’s rules and beating the first games. The second season was about winning the Face Card people. This season of Alice in Borderland games was bigger and scarier than the last. They all led up to the big fight with Mira, the Queen of Hearts. As the one who made the 7 of Hearts game where Arisu had to see his two best friends die, Mira was the right Borderland tough guy for Alice. That’s why I can’t think of what season 3 could add to the story.
What’s Coming Up in Alice in Borderland Season 3?
We think Arisu and her friends will be very surprised next season. The showing of the Joker card makes it seem like they’re not in the “real world” they thought they were in at the end of the season.
Many more possible Alice in Wonderland connections need to be looked into. We haven’t seen Tweedledum and Tweedledee change the meaning of words yet. What might happen in the third season?
Maybe everyone in the competition is in a virtual reality world, like the one Arisu was in during the last show. Through that fantasy, Arisu was led to believe that he was in the hospital and that these games were all in his head.
Thank goodness, Usagi helped him get out of that mental trap. But it’s possible that they could all have fallen into another one when they missed the chance to live in the game.
It’s possible that a new game has already begun, and they’ll need to get away from it. That will be hard for the team because they don’t remember the games or how they got along with each other.
As players progressed to the face cards level, the cards got harder, more intense, and more severe. This means that the Joker could now be the cruellest card of all.
If the Joker takes on the traits of its name, the game masters could use their control over Arisu’s broken gang to pull off a number of terrifying tricks and manipulations.
When we talk about the game masters, Arisu and his friends’ successes meant the end of the face-card game masters, who turned out to be erstwhile players who had become “citizens.”

No Manga Source for Alice in Borderland Season 3:
The show will no longer be based on the book, which is another thing that makes me feel mixed about Alice in Borderland season 3. Alice in Borderland season 2’s last episodes matched the ending of the manga. Other than the Joker card sequel hook, everything ended pretty much the same way it did in the manga. This idea that Arisu and everyone else was about to die in the hospital all along came from the manga, just like Mira’s made-up stories.
The fight between Arisu and the Queen of Hearts happened just like in the book, but Mira did not drug Arisu like she did in the show. No matter what, season 3 of Alice in Borderland will have to be a new story. Arisu’s story continues in the manga, but it’s only a short part that comes back to him quickly and doesn’t include characters like Chishiya and Kuina. Also, Alice in Borderland: Retry is more of an ending than a continuation, which is why I don’t think season 3 will be based on it.
The Cast of Alice in Borderland season 3:
Niragi (Dori Sakurada) and Aguni (Shô Aoyagi) were two surprise guests who showed up in season two after we thought they had died in season one of Alice in Borderland.
They made it through season two, even though they were badly hurt (Niragi more so), so we should see them again in season three.
That’s not true for Tatta. Since Yutaro Watanabe’s character was buried in the middle of the season, we don’t think he will come back to life.
